סליחות בהר הבית!!!Selichot on The Temple Mount

בהר ציון השמם, אסור להתפלל, למלמל, להשתחוות, להשתטח, לבטא שום ביטוי של דת יהודית, הכל מפני שבעיני הממשלה היא עלולה להוביל לאלימות נגד יהודים, להסית את גורמי האיסלם הקיימים בהר, ולפגוע במתפללים המוסלמים.  אבל בשעה שאינם שם, האם עדיין יש סיכוי שיופגעו?  מה תהיה הסיבה שהמשטרה לא תאפשר לנו להתפלל בשעה שבה אין מוראביטאט, אין מתפללים, כמעט ואין איש?  

שעה כזאת היא חצות, שבה אין תפילות קיימות בהר, ואין נוכחות גדולה של מוסלמים בהר. השיקול דעת של המשטרה מונע ממנו להתפלל, אבל איזה שיקול דעת יש לעשות כשלא יהיו מופגעים מפעולותינו הדתיות?  

בימי הסליחות, כשעם ישראל מתקבץ בהמוניו ברחבת הכותל המערבי, הנה אנו רוצים להיות בהר בית השם ולבקש ולהתחנן לפני בוראינו בהר קדשו, להתפלל, לצעוק, לבכות, ולערך תפילות ערבית וסליחות כסדרן בעת חצות, לעורר רחמים בהר הקודש.  בואו להשתטף איתנו, כדי שנוכל להציג את העצומה לפני חודש אלול!    

On the desolate Temple Mount, Jews are forbidden from praying, murmuring, bowing, prostrating themselves, or expressing any sentiment of Jewish religion, simply because in the eyes of the government these things could lead to violence against Jews, incite the Islamic groups which occupy the mount, and insult Muslim worshipers.  But what about an hour when they aren't there, is there still a reason to believe they will be insulted?  What reason could be given then for lack of permission to pray during an hour when there are no screaming women, no worshipers, and almost no one is on the Mount?l

Such an hour is midnight, when prayers do not take place on the Mount, and there is not a Muslim presence there.  The police make the decision when they are there to not allow us to pray, but if there is no one there, what decision needs to be made?1

During the days of Selichot, when Am Yisrael gathers in its multitudes in the Kotel plaza, we ask to be allowed to ascend to Hashem's Mountain, to request and plead before our Creator on His Holy Mountain, to pray, to cry out, to shed tears, and to carry out Arvit and Selichot properly at midnight, to awaken Divine Mercy on Har HaBayit.  Join us, so that we can present this before Elul!!!1
