We, the undersigned basketball fans, are writing to express our deep concern regarding the recent behavior of Athens fans during the Hapoel Jerusalem vs. Athens game. It has been reported that some of the Athens fans engaged in chanting that was directed at the Israeli fans and team. This included burning the Israeli flag and throwing life-threatening objects at the Israeli crowd. 

Such behavior is unacceptable and goes against the FIBA Basketball Champions League values of fair play, respect, and sportsmanship. It is essential that all fans attending games understand that they are representing not only themselves but also their country and their team. This should be reflected in their behavior. 

We urge the FIBA Basketball Champions League to take immediate action against such behavior. We also urge it to ensure that all fans attending games are aware of the consequences of their actions. We believe that the FIBA Basketball Champions League has a responsibility to create a safe and respectful environment for all fans, players, and officials. We urge you to take this responsibility seriously and take immediate action to address the behavior of the Athens fans during the Hapoel Jerusalem vs. Athens game. 

Furthermore, we want to express that many Israeli fans are not ready to take part in FIBA events until the organization acts accordingly.
