קריאה לנשיא המדינה לפעול לשחרורו המלא של העיתונאי אל-קיק השובת רעב 79 יום

הנדון: התערבותך למען העיתונאי שובת הרעב מוחמד אל-קיק, השובת במחאה על מעצרו המנהלי

כבוד נשיא המדינה, ראובן ריבלין

אנו פונים אליך, בבקשה להתערבות דחופה להצלת חייו של העיתונאי מוחמד אל-קיק, מאחר וכל המגעים לשחרורו עלו בתוהו. אל-קיק מתנדנד בין חיים ומוות, ביום ה-79 לשביתת הרעב שלו.

אל-קיק זכאי לזכות האדם הבסיסית: לדעת במה הוא נאשם ולהיות מסוגל להשיב להאשמות. אם אין אשמה עליו להיות משוחרר לאלתר. זכות זו נתונה לכל אדם בישראל, ולכול אדם בחברה חופשית. מדוע לא יהיה אל-קיק זכאי לזכות בסיסית זו? מדינת ישראל הפכה את המעצרים המנהליים, המאפשרים לה לכלוא אנשים ללא תאריך שחרור, וללא כתב אישום, לכלי המופעל כנגד פלסטינים באופן שרירותי ונפוץ.

אל-קיק מתנגד ל'עסקאות' שהוצעו לו. זאת הן משום שהנחתן הבסיסית היא אשמה והן משום שעסקאות מסוג זה נעשו בעבר עם שובתי רעב, אשר זמן קצר לאחר שחרורם נאסרו בשנית. מדינת ישראל גוזרת על אל-קיק מוות בגלל עמידתו על עקרונות בסיסיים של משטר צודק וראוי.

כבוד נשיא המדינה, אנו פונים אליך במעמדך כנשיא המדינה להתערב להצלת חייו של העיתונאי, איש העקרונות מוחמד אל-קיק, ובכך גם לתרום לחיזוקה של הדמוקרטיה בארץ.

Subject: Immediate intervention for the imprisoned Hunger Strike Journalist Mohammad Al Qiq

Honorable President Mr. Reuven Rivlin

We approach you for an Urgent intervention to save the life of the Journalist Al Qiq. All other means have failed and now, upon the 79th day of his hunger strike, Mohammad Al Qiq is on the threshold of death.

Al Qiq is entitled to the basic human right: knowing what are the charges against him, and being able to answer to these charges. If no guilt is found, then he must be released, immediately. This right is granted to all Israelis. It is granted to all human beings residing in free countries. Why, is it not the share of Al Qiq?

The state of Israel have turned Administrative detentions (Imprisonment with No Charges, No Time Limit, No rights) into an Arbitrary, Wide spread tool for Imprisonment.

Al Qiq objects to "Deals" because the basic hypothesis is his guilt. Secondly, "deals" alike were struck in the past. Hunger Strike stopped, the person released and…Few months later, back again.

Honorable president, Please intervene on behalf of Journalist Al Qiq. Save the life of this man of honor and dignity. This shall also contribute for the strengthening the shaking nowadays democracy for us all.
