אנו קוראים לניר ברקת, להשתתף במרוץ היהודי-ערבי שיתקיים בין מערב למזרח ירושלים בסוף חודש יוני. כראש העיר ירושלים, השתתפותך במירוץ תשדר מסר חד משמעי נגד גזענות, ובעד קירוב בין יהודים וערבים ממזרח ומערב ירושלים.

המירוץ, אותו מארגנת עמותת "רצים ללא גבולות", נועד לקרב בין יהודים וערבים ממזרח ומערב ירושלים, שתי קהילות שביניהן שוררים פחד וזרות. זוהי יוזמה אזרחית של תושבים ירושלמים משני צדי העיר - אנו חולמים להחליף את האיבה בידידות ואת הפחד בשיתוף פעולה.

ירושלים המסוכסכת זקוקה למנהיגות מקרבת.

We invite Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat to join the First International Jewish-Arab Race to take place in East Jerusalem at the end of June.

As the mayor of Jerusalem, your participation would send a powerful message against prejudice and in support of coexistence between Jews and Arabs in East and West Jerusalem.

Are you up to the challenge of our five-kilometer race?

Organized by the non-profit organization, Runners Without Borders, the race seeks to bring together the Jews and Arabs of East and West Jerusalem, two groups that often suffer from ignorance and fear about each other. The race is an initiative of Jerusalem citizens from both East and West Jerusalem who dream about transforming hostility into friendship and fear into collaboration.

 

Jerusalem, suffering from so much tension, needs a leader who can bring people together.

YOU alone have the unique power to transform Jerusalem into a model of tolerance and coexistence!
