 תגובה של הח"כ משה פייגלין:

 ההחלטה (של אובמה) שלא לבוא לכנסת לא הפתיעה אותי. כבר בשבוע שעבר ניסו גורמים בכירים מאוד שמכירים את הקשר שלי עם פולארד להבין כיצד בכוונתי להגיב. התלבטתי מאוד. מצד אחד צעקות והתלהמויות אינם דרכי. מצד שני איך אפשר לשתוק ולכבד את מי שממשיך להחזיק את אחינו יהונתן כבר 28 שנים בכלא. בחרתי בשיטת הכיסא הריק ואין לי ספק שלא מעט מחברי הכנסת היו מצטרפים אליי. עכשיו משעשינו את המוטל עלינו בכנסת הכדור עובר אל הציבור הרחב. כל מי שכואב את כאבו של פולארד צריך לעשות כל מאמץ בכדי להשיג כרטיסי כניסה לנאום בבנייני האומה ובמידה ואובמה יבוא בלי פולארד - לקום בצורה מכובדת כשיתחיל לדבר ולעזוב בשקט את המקום.

Update: Obama cancels Knesset address, opts for ICC, Jerusalem.

Response from Knesset Member Moshe Feiglin:

 Obama’s decision not to come to the Knesset does not surprise me. Already last week senior officials who understand my relationship with Pollard tried to predict how I would react. I was very hesitant. One the one hand ranting and raving is not my way, but on the other hand how can I sit and honor one who continues to hold captive our brother Jonathan for 28 years in prison? So I decided that my Knesset seat would remain empty during Obama’s speech and I have no doubt that many other Knesset Members would have joined me. 

Now that we have done our part in the Knesset the ball has passed to the public court. Anyone who feel Pollards pain should make every effort to obtain a ticket to Obama’s upcoming speech in the ICC. If Obama fails to bring Pollard with him to Israel, those attending the speech should get up and silently walkout of the hall in a respectful protest.
